Opportunities for Intercession

– within DFB&I and the wider Dunamis Fellowship International

Dunamis is much bigger than one course or event. You are seeing this information via Dunamis Fellowship Britain & Ireland (DFB&I), which is part of an international organisation under the umbrella of Presbyterian Reformed Ministries International (PRMI).

“God does nothing except through the work of prayer.” – Charles Wesley

“With God, we cannot. Without us, God will not.” – St Augustine

We are Prayer Prioritisers. We invite you to join us in this vital work of prayer as the Holy Spirit leads, and to develop your skills and giftings in intercession. Callings are flexible, as we seek to keep in step with the Holy Spirit, so there is no fixed term: you may be called into a group for years or for only a few weeks. If it is apparent to you or to us that you are not called into a group, or the Holy Spirit has lifted the calling and anointing, then you are free to leave the group or we may have a conversation with you about whether or not you should remain in that group. In either case, this would not prevent you joining another group other than in exceptional circumstances, and we bless you.

So what Prayer Opportunities are there?

Click each option below to toggle more information about each prayer opportunity and who you can contact.

The PrayerNet is a group of people receiving prayer requests by email and praying individually. You are not expected to pray for every request that appears. Requests include personal needs and upcoming Dunamis events, as well as thanksgiving for answers received.

For further information or to express an interest, email Karen: prayer@dunamis.org.uk

“SING UK” is a group of people interceding for the UK, where SING refers to “standing in the gap”.
There are also SING groups under PRMI for USA & Canada – see later for how to find out more about PRMI intercession opportunities.

SING UK meets via Zoom weekly on Mondays (but not usually Public Holidays) from 7:30pm for about an hour. It also has a WhatsApp group.

For further information or to express an interest, email Richard: richard@dunamis.org.uk

DFB&I has a healing ministry, where ministry teams are available to pray for healing for people.

You may wish to join in a prayer ministry session to intercede for the ministry team either online or offsite.
You can also pray generally for the healing work and for the Healing VST (Vision and Strategy Team) or other Zoom meetings.

For further information or to express an interest, email Elizabeth & Trish: healing@dunamis.org.uk

The DFB&I Leadership Team (LT) need to be prayed for!

Their intercessors meet monthly via Zoom for about 1¼ hours on a Tuesday or a Wednesday, sometimes in the daytime and sometimes in the evening, so it is not always the same people missing out. There is also a WhatsApp group for the LT sharing requests and insights between meetings.

For further information or to express an interest, email Ada: ada@dunamis.org.uk

A group has recently started to pray for the further development of work with youth and young adults. They meet via Zoom on the first Monday of the month from 7:30pm to 8:30pm.

For further information or to express an interest, email James: james@dunamis.org.uk

A cohort has recently been set up to pray via Zoom for opportunities to take Dunamis teaching into Scotland. It also has a WhatsApp group. This is for more experienced intercessors due to the nature of what may be encountered in prayer.

For further information or to express an interest, email David & Deirdre: scotland@dunamis.org.uk

A cohort is praying for Northern and Central Europe, with a particular focus on Ukraine and Russia. This is for more experienced intercessors due to the nature of what may be encountered in prayer.

It meets via Zoom for about an hour approximately fortnightly, mostly on Thursdays, although the times vary.

For further information or to express an interest, email Elaine & Matt: NCE@dunamis.org.uk

There is an Israel-UK Cohort. It was set up in 2019 and came out of the PRMI Prayer Endeavour where a relationship was built up between people from the UK and a couple working with Revive Israel.

The team meet every 1st Tuesday of the month at 7.30am.

For further information or to express an interest, email Pauline: pauline@dunamis.org.uk

There is a Global Prayer Call hosted by PRMI which meets for an hour via Zoom on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at a time that is reasonable for people in the UK (usually 5pm). It also meets on Thursdays at a much later time (midnight for the UK). There is a different prayer focus for each day.

What do you mean?

You may not be familiar with the terms ‘Network’, ‘Contingent’ and ‘Cohort’… or you may have heard them but don’t understand the differences. These are the terms we use to differentiate between Prayer groups, their purpose, calling and level of intercession. PRMI have put together this really helpful guide to understanding the differences:
