What is Ignite?

Ignite events are typically one-day workshops (often on a Saturday). They include worship, teaching, testimonies, prayer, and practical application.

These are local events to help people catch the Holy Spirit’s flame and grow as faith-filled disciples of Jesus Christ.

The topics draw on some of the core ideas from the Dunamis Project, and the main options are:-

Looks at the story of God empowering his church and advancing his kingdom through the activity of the Holy Spirit, and explores how we can more fully participate in that story.

Empowered by the Holy Spirit

Exploring the dynamic process of cooperating with the Holy Spirit to do the work of Jesus Christ, learning to ‘keep in step with the Spirit’ and use the spiritual gifts that he gives.

  • How do we receive guidance from the Holy Spirit?
  • How do I know that what I have received is truly from God?
  • What about the manifestational gifts of the Holy Spirit?
Prayer and the Holy Spirit

Do you ever long to develop in your life of prayer? Would you like to discover how the Holy Spirit can make a difference and take you deeper into that great adventure of prayer? Why settle for less when Jesus promises more?

This Ignite explores some of the basic ingredients of prayer, and looks at:

  • What it means to ask in the name of Jesus.
  • How vision and prayer can shape the future.
  • Intercession that is led by the Holy Spirit.

At our leadership team meeting we all expressed such awe at the working of the Holy Spirit that we witnessed and experienced. Ignite will prove to be a significant Holy Spirit-initiated and led event in the history of New Life Celebration Church.

I’m coming to a fuller understanding that the Great Commission has more to do with spiritual depth than strategies and structures. It is beginning to resonate with me that the journey from conversion to transformation, from salvation to discipleship is fully dependent on the work of the Holy Spirit.
