How the Lord is moving towards the next Great Awakening of the Holy Spirit

In the initial online series of Awake My Soul (June 2022) we asked ourselves:

What if the Holy Spirit ‘was on the move’ to pour out his Spirit in a great awakening?

Would we be ready for it?

Through a number of self-study videos and online discussions we explored how the Lord might indeed ‘be on the move’ in this particular way, and we began to discuss and pray about what our response might be to this, both as individuals and as part of a Spirit-led organisation.

(These self-study videos will be made available as a recap for all who register for Awake My Soul Series 2).

In Awake My Soul Series 2 we continue to explore this theme by looking at 4 Great Waves of the Holy Spirit moving in the world today.

By the end of Awake My Soul Series 2, you will have: 

  • had an opportunity to review videos from AMS Series 1;
  • learned from key speakers about the 4 Great Waves of the Holy Spirit moving around the world today;
  • had an opportunity to pray in small groups about these moves of the Holy Spirit; and
  • had an opportunity to pray and discern what your role might be in seeing the Kingdom of God move forward.

Course Outline

On each of the Zoom calls we will hear a guest speaker teach on one of the Great Waves of the Holy Spirit, and spend time in discussion and prayer. The 4 Great Waves we will look at are the Holy Spirit moving in:

  • the Western World and Africa
  • Muslim countries and communities
  • Jewish people around the world, especially in Israel
  • the vast Asian countries (including China, Japan, Korea etc.)

Course Format

This is not a course requirement, but you may find it helpful to watch or re-watch the videos from AMS Series 1.

There are 12 videos, each between 15-26min long, which covers:

  • a basic history of previous Great Awakenings including the key elements of every revival;
  • the role of Israel in end time revival; and
  • how we can learn to co-operate in the gifts of the Holy Spirit to play our part as individuals and as an organisation.

Each Zoom session will feature a time to:

  • DISCOVER: hear teaching on one of the Great Waves of the Holy Spirit, including opportunities for questions and comments.
  • PRACTICE: Small group discussions and prayers.
  • WORSHIP: Praising and honouring the Lord in this time of preparing our hearts.

We will host one further Zoom call around a month after this course as an opportunity for you to pray, share, discuss, and/or ask further questions after the course content has had some time to settle.

This new course builds from week to week on materials that many will find unfamiliar.
You should aim to be fully present for the whole course.

The Zoom calls will not be recorded due to their interactive nature.
