The power of prayer cannot be overstated. It’s foundational to our faith. But to be really effective it must be two-way. It’s amazing that God wants to speak to us, but are we listening to Him?
If only we would give Him time and space to speak to us… If only we would spend time learning how to hear His voice. How exciting to be able to hear from God for ourselves, but also to pray ‘His will’ more effectively for others; for our communities; for global issues.
Jesus said that He did nothing without the direction of His Father (John 5:19). Let’s follow His example and hear the voice of God in every area of our lives.

Ignite! Glasgow “Welcome, Holy Spirit”
Saturday 17th October, 2026
9:00am – 5:00pm
St Peter’s Church Hall, Partick, 46 Hyndland Street, Glasgow. G11 5PS
Jesus promised that the Holy Spirit would clothe us with power, equipping us for action as his witnesses. Yet often we settle for less than God intended, and have little first-hand experience of the Spirit’s empowering work.
This Ignite! explores the Biblical basis for welcoming the Holy Spirit more fully into our lives and churches. Through testimony, teaching and prayer we will make space for a richer understanding and fresh encounters with the third person of the Trinity.
Join us for this faith-inspiring event and discover how much more God can do in you, for you, and through you.
